compareEBCDICStrings

public static int compareEBCDICStrings(AS400Text converter,
                                       String first,
                                       String second)

Compare two i5/OS object names. NOTE: this method only considers characters that are valid in an i5/OS name. It should not be used for arbitrary EBCDIC strings.

Parameters:

converter - An instance of AS400Text used to convert characters from the first and second string to their EBCDIC equivalents. This should be an instance with length 20 (or sufficient to handle converting both strings to EBCDIC).
